Shrimp Dumpling - Ha Gow (FROZEN)
Instructions:
Steaming:
- The most traditional way to cook frozen shrimp dumplings is by steaming.
- Bring water to a boil in a steamer. You can use a bamboo steamer or any other type of steamer you have.
- Line the steamer trays with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
- Place the frozen shrimp dumplings in the steamer, ensuring there is some space between them to allow steam to circulate.
- Steam the dumplings for about 6-8 minutes or until they are fully cooked. The wrappers should become translucent and slightly translucent, and the shrimp inside should be opaque and cooked through.
Serving:
- Once cooked, carefully remove the shrimp dumplings from the steamer using tongs or a spatula.
- Serve the shrimp dumplings hot, traditionally with a dipping sauce. You can use a mixture of soy sauce and rice vinegar for a tangy and savory flavor. If you like some heat, add a touch of chili sauce or Sriracha to the dipping sauce.
Enjoy:
- Shrimp dumplings are often enjoyed as a delightful appetizer or part of a dim sum spread. They can also be served as a light meal along with other dim sum dishes.
